Discord can't generate a proper preview for Instagram links, so posts don't show up at all. instaFish rewrites the link into a form Discord knows how to embed.

How to

  1. Copy the link to a public Instagram post, e.g.
    https://www.instagram.com/p/DXXXXXXXXXX/
  2. Replace the highlighted part, keeping /p/DXXXXXXXXXX/ as is:
    https://instafish.tux.fish/p/DXXXXXXXXXX/
  3. Paste that link into Discord and it'll render (hopefully) correctly.

Limitations

  • Only works with individual posts -- profile links aren't supported.
  • Video posts show a thumbnail image only.
